For our Project 04 in ART 230, we are tasked to create a gift booklet. We have to choose a talk from the most recent General Conference I would like to share with someone I care about. Using the text of the talk, I will design a multi-page printed booklet as a gift. We have to focus on how typography hierarchy works over a series of spreads to engage and invite a reader to invest time in the content.
The talk I used is "The Greatest Easter Story Ever Told" by Elder Gary E. Stevenson from the April 2023 General Conference. I studied the talk and created a mind map for me to generate ideas. Afterwards, I created thumbnail sketches for me to visualize my design for this gift booklet.

I asked help from my classmates, to know which design works better. I created some digital sketches of the same spread, for me to know which will work in the whole gift booklet.
With the help of my classmates, they chose some digital sketches that can work for my project. In that way, I was able to expand it by doing my first draft.

I asked for suggestions and feedbacks and my classmate pointed out some changes that I should do and was able to work it out for my second draft.

My classmates' feedbacks and suggestions helped me a lot as I work on this gift booklet project. They provided more insights to make my second draft better. Because of this, I was able to create my final design.

I am grateful for my instructor and classmates' help for me in this project. I enjoyed doing this, and learned my capability to do this type of project. I can really say that if I will give this out to a friend, they will really enjoy this booklet.
